As a child, my family and I traveled to the village of Artavan every year. The village’s name sounds similar to the Armenian word «art, ” meaning „field.“ The landscape of Artavan—the endless fields, the wheat swaying in the wind, the sounds of nature, and a profound sense of tranquility—is something I remember vividly.

It has been about ten years since my last trip, and I no longer have the opportunity to return there. Therefore, I decided to turn to my own memories and create a typeface inspired by the atmosphere of that place. Through the letterforms, I aim to convey the sensations, sounds, and images that remain in my memory, transforming personal recollections into a visual language.

This typeface will later become part of a book dedicated to Artavan, helping me maintain a connection to a place that holds a special place in my life.
