It’s best to process your friends' books that let you do whatever you want. That’s exactly the case. The function of illustrations in this book is difficult to explain. Shaburov had two theories on the subject, «found illustrations» and «parallel narrative». The illustration material must be found at the author ' s home. And the function is to complement the author’s story by replicating and parodizing its structure. The illustrations are therefore not derived from the text, but rather pre-empted and suspended. First, the borrowed images were composed of some kind of visual preface, then mysterious compositions, allegedly composed of published stories, as well as flashbacks, describing the biography of the lyric hero. Other hilarious inventions: an azbok list on the forzacs of the items described in the text; letters replaced by pictures in the same letter (e.g. a cow instead of K); the author ' s handwritten colonitulles, sometimes going beyond the end of the page; a name half of which went from page 1 of the cover to page 4; and a swelling of pictures that did not appear in the book in the final.
