Buratino is a modular typeface inspired by Alexey Tolstoy’s fairy tale. Its visual concept is based on wooden elements, reflecting the hero’s material, and theatricality, which is an important part of his world.
Much like a puppet that can take on various forms, the blocks of a modular typeface combine to create letters, symbols, and unusual compositions.
Lowercase letters are converted to uppercase by adding supplemental elements whose form can change from a circle to a rhombus.

POLENO Modular Doll Brand
Poleno are modular dolls made from magnetic blocks. They can be customized, combined with one another, and reassembled into any character. The set is based on four recognizable characters: Buratino, Malvina, Pierrot, and Artemon.
Just as Papa Carlo created Buratino, POLENO allows you to create your own hero.
