ANATOMA OF ARCHITECTURE
There is a unique community of people (very different in all other ways) — true values of architecture. And perhaps even more who would like to learn to understand it and enjoy it, i.e. to feel the creative power hidden in it. That is what I see as the key secret to the success of my book «The Anatomy of Architecture. Seven books on logic, form and meaning, published in the NEU Publication House of the U.S.A., which has survived nine rehearsals since 2015. Its promotion was greatly facilitated by the award of the Education Award in 2016, which is respected by scientists and by all those interested in scientific achievements.
Two or three years ago, the publisher asked me about a new version, amended and supplemented and, above all, completely updated with regard to design. The work on the new version (now the tenth edition) has taken a great deal of effort on my part, both as author and as a large editorial team. Many photographs (more than 380 illustrations) were retrieved, the graphics were updated, and the book was received by the scientific apparatus. I have completely rewritten some fragments, including the final part, because the future of architecture and the main trends in its development are now different to me.
Everyone can probably feel the beauty of an architectural work. However, architecture as a kind of art can produce much more. To those who understand it, she tells us about the drama of the relationship of those who carry and are close to each other, about the spaces that are sneaky and sneaky, and about the worlds — the outside and the inner worlds — as they seemed to people in an era. This book is written to teach those who want to see and hear such silent stories.

The publishing house of the Higher School of Economics continues with the book «Anatomy of Architecture» by the art scientist Sergei Cavtaradze, the monograph series HSE BIBLIOTHECA SELECTA. The Russian and foreign authors ' books published in it are combined not by subject matter but by the idea of artistic presentation as an important part of the influence on the reader ' s perception. It’s also a high-quality, well-chosen view series — paintings, engravings, photographs, and designer paper, which brings tactile and visual «softness» to the perception of text and illustrations, and an interesting design that provides a comfortable reading. We want to return to the almost forgotten Russian scientific genre of the book as works of art.
Thanks to an interesting design developed by ABCdesign and high-quality printing, the publication has gained new colors. Since Renaissance’s time, the most important, independent, part of any message about architecture has been its illustrative component.
